Fundraisers / Annual Chili Supper
VOLUNTEER OPPURUNITY - DESSERTS NEEDED!
Would you like to help with the Chili Supper by making a homemade dessert to donate? It can be any type of dessert such as pie, cake, cookies, bar cookies, etc. They may be dropped off at St. James the day of the Chili Supper as early as 9am and throughout the day/early evening. If that isn't convenient you may bring them to the Youth Center the day before.
For many years the second Thursday in February has been “chili time” in Miamisburg! Over the years the chili supper has become an event to which many in the community look forward. It has become a time to see friends and socialize while enjoying a good meal and helping a great cause! Delicious chili is served along with salad, drinks and homemade desserts! If chili isn't your favorite, well then homemade vegetable soup is on the menu as well. The desserts are donated by many of the great cooks of Miamisburg and are worth the price of admission! In addition to the great food and socializing another reason people say they love attending is the terrific service. The kids from the Youth Center provide that service! They do a fantastic job of taking orders, serving food, and cleaning up. Staff always receive great feedback about the work the kids do. For many years Mary Goodwin and her crew of helpers have made the chili and soup. Also for many years Michelle Groleski has coordinated the entire event. These women and the volunteers who help them are invaluable to the success of the fundraiser. Please join us for the next chili supper!
Tickets are available at the Miamisburg Youth Center, from Center board members, and at the door. Carryout is available.
Cost includes: Salad, Homemade Chili or Vegetable Soup, Drink, Homemade Dessert.
